i loved it since i grew up with it, but when it was taken away, I quickly saw how gorgeous the chinese theater looked. The park looks a lot classier without it.

If I had a nickel for every time a major chain Florida park from the late 90s lost their opening day boat tour attraction leaving abandoned stations throughout the park I'd have 2 nickels Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice

I don't even understand the ROI move they've made with Genie+. 50% isn't using it. Before you scanned your MagicBand on the ride entrance, go shopping and come back later. Now it's pay to skip the lane, but you're not shopping during that time anymore.

My grandparents paid extra to get into Animal Kingdom early, when we took our Disney trip. The tree wasn't done yet, they were still building it. we took that stupid boat ride, and i remember being absolutely miserable, it was so hot and boring. Highlight was a kiosk selling baboon plushes that me and my cousins got, and had a blast messing around with. I'm in my 40s now and still lament we wasted a day on this park. Yeeeesh.

I just watched pretty much all your Disney videos man great content! The 3 times I went on Expedition Everest I have seen loads of hair ties thrown by guests on the top of the mountain when the ride stops. Maybe you could look into this for a video idea?

I'd rather wait in queue in a cosplay convention or tattoo expo than go to Disneyland Now it's ruined for me to go so Disneyland is off my list

Parenting hack- Tell your children these are all the people who perished on "its a small world". My nightly nightmare - I'm on its a small world. The little doll children all have black eyes and are sentient but demonic cannibals who each jump onto the boat two or three at a time where I'm the only one riding then take a bite out of me. I can't move or fight back at all. I can only try to distract myself from being slowly eaten alive with the music which never ever ever stops. I beg for the hippo to end my suffering and make it stop but he just smiles, takes a bite and continues singing along. I have this all night every single night and it never ever stops. I drink A LOT of coffee.

Considering they quite literally turned a trip to an Disney park into the hunger games with extra steps- It seems fitting.

I remember going on stitches great escape as a kid. In the preshow where they transport 1 of the experiments into a tube i had full confidence that the alien was real and telling my dad excitedly about it. I can only imagine how happy that moment was for him. I miss those times alot.

Everybody knows Jaws is the second best attraction at Universal. The number one attraction at Universal is the Bates Motel set and Normans iconic house up on the hill.

Holy crap do people really stand in line for an hour just go on a ride. You spend most of your time in the park just standing in a line.

They used to literally announce that it was a 40 minute long attraction and I remember seeing people be visibly be turned off and leave

i think i was too young to have ridden the river boats, but ill have to ask my parents if they remember us riding them. what a neat remnant! next time i visit animal kingdom ill definitely have to seek out the dragons cave rocks

Man who rembers river country i was alot younger but man somthing about the fress water and not even riding the rides becsuse i was pretry young i rember just playing with the sand at the bottom on the lake and throwing it on the log climb things idk somthing about that made me happy when i was young think they should bring a fresh water park back i hate chlorine now as far a typhoon lagoon i loved the little shark thing u would swim at the top of the water and look down at the little sharks and stuff and then in every park fuck the rides lazy river all day long swim with goggles and find rings braclets all tyoe of stuff

We had the Tiki Room song on one of our Disney Classics CDs. The first time we went to WDW, this version was there. I don’t think it was what we expected to say the least.

Really didn't mean to call it a little bit of a boring ride after getting clear of the boat talking to a ride cast member, so when it stopped running, I really didn't miss it.

Wait I'm getting conflicting information. So is the idea for Tokyo DisneySea lifted from Port Disney then pitched to OLC? Because now seeing the original plan for Port Disney, it looks like it is. It was said by someone from Disney that while the timeline for PD's cancelation and the finalization of the theme for Tokyo's 2nd park coincide, the theme for Tokyo's 2nd park was pitched by OLC and was handled by a separate development team. So it's kinda weird to see certain key elements from PD appear at TDS.

I remember a live quartet singing sea shanties at the park's bar.

My dad went in the shark tank back in 2005. I was 11 and way too scared. Typhoon Lagoon was an awesome park, but it intimidated me, because it was so massive. I remember getting off the lazy river and not knowing where the heck I was. Also, the wave pool is a lot stronger than the Wave Pool I was used to at Fun Plex in Omaha.

Honestly, it's a shame Disney doesn't have more dino dark rides.

Seeing as I can't stand Harry Potter and never got the chance to ride on the Jaws attraction, I'm pissed. Looks like I may have to get out to Japan.

When I first went to Disney World, back in 2006, I remembered the hat being there and it was literally my favorite thing about MGM. Fast forward to last week and visiting Hollywood studios and not seeing the hat I was kind of upset. I don't even remember the Chinese theater being there because I was 7 and thus an idiot so older me thought that they just added the Chinese theater not long ago lmao. I'm on the old end of gen Z but I definitely miss the hat. I also went to EPCOT that same trip and definitely don't remember the EPCOT wand on the ball.

At the age of 22 I finally got to see universal studios in Orlando, sadly that was 2013....as I walked my way to where the ride once was, I was told by any employee paid I saw tell me the ride was closed....it broke me, my childhood I wanted to ride the ride so badly, had a good time regardless, but I feel robbed, glad I was able to get a detailed video on this ride. Amazing video.
